As founder and creative director of Murphy Design, Rosemary Murphy has created visual communications programs for a variety of clients, including ARAMARK, MidMarket Capital Advisors, Deloitte, Smartketing, Franklin Institute, University of Pennsylvania, Devereux, Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, Ursinus College, Fox School of Business at Temple University, Roofscapes, Inc., Elsevier, Winnie's LeBus Manayunk and Philadelphia Eyeglass Labs.

Rosemary's work has been recognized for excellence by the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), the Art Director's Club of Philadelphia, American Corporate Identity, Rockport Publishers and Graphic Design: usa.

Rosemary is a Past President of AIGA/Philadelphia Chapter. Since 1989, she has served as adjunct faculty at Drexel University and since 2004, at Moore College of Art, where she shares her hands-on experiences with students in the specialty areas of visual communications, brand identity and typography.

Rosemary received a BFA in Graphic Design at University of the Arts in 1981 and earned a Master’s Degree in Liberal Arts at the University of Pennsylvania in 2005, where she completed research on Photojournalism Report from the Field: Words, Images and Ethics Are Part of the Picture.

When Rosemary steps away from her design work, she enjoys time spent paddling on Philadelphia’s Schuylkill River as a member of the Philadelphia Dragon Boat Association, the Schuylkill Dragons and Philadelphia Outrigger Canoe Club. She enjoys competing in World Championship Dragon Boat Races as well as national and local races.
